Elon Musk’s new venture, xAI, is set to launch its first AI product to a select group of users. Musk has been vocal about his dissatisfaction with the current state of AI and its alignment with human values and goals. He has previously announced plans for an AI tool called “TruthGPT” that aims to focus on objective reality rather than being “politically correct.” Musk has assembled a team of AI researchers and engineers with backgrounds at companies like DeepMind, OpenAI, Google Research, Microsoft Research, Twitter, and Tesla. The company aims to explore the mathematics of deep learning and develop a theory of everything for large neural networks. Musk founded xAI in March, and it is a separate entity from X Corp, although it will collaborate with Twitter, Tesla, and other companies. This move puts xAI in competition with established AI players like OpenAI and Google.
