Toyota Motor Corp. reported a robust performance with global sales rising 8.3 percent in April to September compared to the same period the previous year, reaching a record 5.6 million vehicles. The company’s global production for the fiscal first half increased by 10 percent to a record 5.7 million units, including its subsidiaries Daihatsu and Hino. Toyota and Lexus brand car sales experienced significant growth in Africa, the Middle East, North America, and Europe. However, sales in some parts of Asia, excluding Japan, were relatively weak due to economic slowdowns in certain regions. In China, Toyota’s sales rose slightly, affected by a shift to electric vehicles.
