Constitutional lawyer and pioneer Secretary-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Prof. Ben Nwabueze, has passed away at the age of 94. Prof. Nwabueze was a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and played a significant role in Igbo and Nigerian politics. His death was confirmed by his family and Anambra Commissioner for Information, Paul Nwosu. The President-General of Atani Town Union also confirmed the sad news. Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, is planning to observe four traditional market days in his honor. Additionally, there is an appeal to President Bola Tinubu to immortalize Prof. Ben Nwabueze by naming one of the newly-approved federal universities after him.
