The development organization ONE is calling for increased investment in Africa and greater representation of African countries in global decision-making bodies. Ahead of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s trip to Nigeria and Ghana, ONE emphasized the need for concrete actions to support African development and financing.
ONE Germany’s director, Stephan Exo-Kreischer, stressed the importance of turning the idea of “partnership at eye level” into tangible actions rather than just political rhetoric. ONE Nigeria’s director, Stanley Achonu, urged Chancellor Scholz to actively listen to the concerns of global South countries and take prompt actions to address them.
