Coppin State University celebrated the opening of its new $46 million, state-of-the-art College of Business building in a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The university also launched its first “Closing the Wealth Gap Summit” to empower students to become informed entrepreneurs. The building, which features cutting-edge classrooms with smart technology and a resource center with data science and analytics labs, will provide students with the tools they need to succeed in entrepreneurship.
The inaugural summit aims to empower minority businesses and entrepreneurship in West Baltimore. The event was attended by university leaders, including Dr. Jay Perman, Chancellor of the University System of Maryland, and Dr. Anthony Jenkins, President of Coppin State University.
