The debut of Mortal Kombat 1’s first post-launch character, Omni-Man from Robert Kirkman’s Invincible, is set for this November, as announced by developer NetherRealm Studios and publisher Warner Bros. Games at New York Comic Con. The gameplay trailer showcases Omni-Man, the alien superhero, brutally taking down Scorpion and Liu Kang, reminiscent of the gory moments seen in Invincible. J.K. Simmons reprises his role as Omni-Man in Mortal Kombat 1.
Omni-Man’s debut trailer also provides a first look at Tremor, the earth-elemental ninja who first appeared in Mortal Kombat: Special Forces and was last playable in Mortal Kombat X. Tremor will be featured as a Kameo Fighter.
These two characters are part of Mortal Kombat 1’s Kombat Pack add-on, which will introduce several other characters to the game’s roster in the upcoming months, including Quan Chi, DC’s Peacemaker, Ermac, Homelander from The Boys, and Takeda Takahashi. The Kombat Pack also includes five Kameo Fighters: Tremor, Ferra, Janet Cage, Khameleon, and Mavado. The Kombat Pack is available for $39.99 and is included in the Premium Edition of the game, priced at $109.99.
