Members of the House of Representatives are currently using electronic voting to vote against or for the 68 clauses to be amended in the 1999 constitution.
As at the time of filing this report, these are the bills that have been passed into law; Provision of qualification to become an indigene of Nigeria, Financial autonomy for state legislatures and judiciary, Change of names of Egbado North Local Government and Egbado South Local Government of Ogun state, Financial and administrative autonomy for Local government, States to generate, transmit and distribute electricity in areas covered by the national grid.
However, the following bills were rejected by members of the House of Representatives; Life pension for Speaker, Senate president and other National Assembly leaders, reform of the judiciary to strengthen timely dispensation of justice, Procedure for removing presiding officers of the legislature, Provision if special seats for women in national and state house of assembly, Inclusion of VATs on exclusive legislative list.
