The Treasury House at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, caught fire yesterday 8th of April
It was reportedly confirmed today that there was a fire outbreak at the Treasury House, Federal Capital Territory. Regular workers of the complex revealed that the fire was ignited at about 10:25 am from the Assistant Director of Capital’s office on the fourth floor of the 5-story complex and they also added that the origin of the fire could not be identified.
The firefighters of the Fire Service were able to successfully curb the flames at the building where the Accountant General of the Federation also had his workspace.
FCT police spokesman, Bala Ciroma, while addressing the situation stated that investigation will commence immediately to verify the cause of the inferno.
Furthermore, Bala Ciroma added that the investigation will also provide a wider explanation of how the fire started and how much damage was incurred.
