It has been revealed in a statement provided by the Special Adviser to the governor on Media and Communication Strategy in the person of Crusoe Osagie that the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has gone into self-isolation.
“Following close contact with the governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed and the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari who have both tested positive for the coronavirus, governor Bala Mohammed has also gone into self-isolation”.
Crusoe Osagie confirmed in his statement that governor Godwin Obaseki has sent his samples for testing and awaits the result.
Accordingly to Osagie’s statement, “Governor Godwin Obaseki had met the governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed at the Governors Forum and the National Economic Council meetings and that the Edo State governor had also visited Mr. Abba Kyari.
However, the governor did not exhibit prior symptoms of the virus but nevertheless has taken precautionary measures to self-isolate in other to prevent the spread of the virus and reduce the risk of further infections with people that may otherwise come in contact with him”.
