Nigerian police man invades a legal practitioner Barrister Abdullahi Barau’s home in Kaduna, and he was asked to evacuate the house.
The lawyer said he was not at home when the police man visited his home, he threatened to throw his family out of the house.
Barrister Barau said “I was out of town on the day the tragic event happened. I received a call from my wife, she said some officers forcefully entered our residents, threatening us to pack our belongings and leave. ”
“Later Someone called me that he has received directives to send me and my family packing the next day. He called again that it has been extended to a week so that I can look for somewhere else to stay,” he added.
He said the court has confirm his ownership since 2016.
The Barrister further stated that he bought the land in 2011, he built 7 shops, 6 uncompleted shops and 3 bedroom bungalow.
DSP IIiya the Public Relations Officer ( PPRO) said the signal he received to vacate the building was from IGP Monitoring and Evaluation Office Abuja not from the police College.
“It was a signal from Abuja and the Directives was from Consultant Police Monitoring and evaluation office Abuja that gave the directives to take over the place. So if they have any complain, it should be forwarded to Abuja not to the college,” Barrister Barau.
