Nigerians on Thursday morning have expressed bitterness over the death of two Students of the University of Jos on Sunday.
A family member of one of the deceased narrated the story on his twitter handle.
The two students by name Jemima and Jennifer were said to have boarded a tricycle on their way to church on Sunday morning.
Unfortunately, a drunk driver in a BMW swerved off his lane, climbing the road barricade and hitting the tricycle with the girls in it.
He said the tricycle somersaulted about three times landing the girls in a coma. The tricycle driver is said to have died on the spot while the drunk driver came out unhurt.
The girls were rushed to the Nigerian Air Force Hospital along the Bauchi-Jos expressway. However, they were deprived of immediate treatment as the hospital demanded for a police report.
The girls were, however, transferred to another hospital but they died on arrival. Meanwhile, Nigerians have taken to social media to berate the hospital treatment and the medical law of the country.
While some also expressed grievance as the drunk driver has been granted bail.
